| Update on Andorran banking - your author is in Andorra as he types and the message is simply - we donīt want your money unless your a resident.
Non-residents can no longer open normal bank accounts in their name. They can only open numbered accounts only - this means no credit/debit cards, chequebooks or any of the trappings we normally consider belonging to bank accounts. If you would like a numbered account you must apply in person and if your a US citizen donīt hold any dollar based funds or investments cause Credit Andorra has an agreement with the IRS to rat you out if you do. |
