| The European Parliament called yesterday, Thursday, for the introduction of a European tax as a direct way of financing the EU. The tax would not lead to additional costs for the taxpayer, but would create a direct link between the Union and the citizens and would bring about more transparency as to the way the EU is financed and the money is spent. |
