| Seizures of so-called "dirty" cash have quadrupled since new powers were introduced to stamp out the illegal trade, according to official figures.
Customs and Excise has seized more than £4m since new laws were passed three months ago. It represents a substantial increase - in the whole of 2002 £14m was seized. |
